You have three minutes to complete the following test of mental agility. Read all the instructions before doing anything else.

Instructions :

1. Write your initials in the box A.

2. Write the time in box D.

3. Write the total of 3 + 16 + 32 + 64 here: 

4. Underline instruction 1 above.

5. Draw three circles in the box C on the left at the foot of this page.

6. Put a tick in each of the circles mentioned in 5.

7. Sign your signature in the green box.

8. Divide 50 by 12.5 and write the answer here:

9. When you get to this point in the test, stand up, then sit down and continue with the next item.

10. If you have carefully followed all these instructions, call out ‘I have’.

11. In box E below, draw  what you think an upright bicycle looks like from overhead.

12. Check your answer to Item 8, multiply it by 5 and write the result in box F.

13. In box B write the 21st, 18th, 20th , 8th  9th, 3rd and 11th letters of the alphabet.

14. Punch holes with your pen here:     o         here: o          and here: o

15. Underline all the even digits on the left hand side of the page.

16. Draw triangles round the holes you punched in Item 14.

17. Draw a circle around the number 10 wherever it occurs on this page.

18. Now you’ve finished reading all the instructions, obey only 1, 2 and 18.
